PhD candidate Hanan Almahasheer won the second place for a poster award

The Student Research Poster Competition was intended to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their research accomplishments and to promote research excellence in various fields of Environmental Sciences. The poster competition consists of a visual display of research findings combined with a short oral presentation about the poster content. The evaluation for the award was made based on: Quality and appeal of Poster (25%); Content of the Poster (50%); and Student Presentation (25%). Hanan were awarded with a certificate and a cheque. She is supervised by Prof. Xabier Irigoine and Prof. Carlos Duarte. And her research interests are in the Ecosystem services provided by mangroves in the Red Sea.
