29 September – 1 October 2025, London, UK

A curated international workshop was held in London to co-develop a global strategic framework for coral reef resilience and restoration. Hosted by CORDAP, the MSC Foundation, and Kanaloa, the meeting convened leading experts from around the world under the Chatham House Rule to facilitate open and collaborative discussions.

Professor Carlos Duarte and Dr. Shannon Klein both participated, contributing scientific expertise and insights to support the development of scalable solutions that can accelerate the recovery of vulnerable coral reef ecosystems. The workshop generated a strong foundation for coordinated global action. The outcomes from this workshop represent exciting opportunities to advance coral reef protection and restoration efforts at a critical time for ocean health.
