Research Interests

I am interested in assessing the impact of plastic pollution in the Red Sea, focusing on microplastics abundance and interaction with ecosystems and sea life. I will particularly investigate microplastic ingestion by filter feeders (e.g. scleractinian corals) and microplastic burial rate in seagrass and mangrove sediments.
