Biography

I am a PhD student at TAJRC with interests in ecotoxicology and conservation genetics. I am particularly interested in the application of molecular data into management and conservation planning in syngnathids.

The aims of my PhD are:

  1. To explore the population connectivity of seahorses across the Red Sea
  2. To study the underlying genetic mechanisms responsible for the evolutionary adaptation to toxic pollution observed in wild fish

Research Interests

Population genetics, conservation biology, ecotoxicology, statistical modeling
